Creative direction and day to day operations of the Aol Music product.
I built and led the design team of 5 interaction and visual designers on a day to day basis. We worked closely with leaders from the editorial, product, engineering, and brand strategy teams to develop a product roadmap and brand strategy for our audience and advertisers. I also oversaw the entire Aol Entertainment design team (Moviefone, Television, Games, Cityguide) for 6 months during this time, recruiting over 20 designers into the company.
After leading the design team for two years, Aol Music overtook Yahoo! Music as the most popular music site on the web in 2006.
